ESPNThe debate over whether Kyler Murray or Tua Tagovailoa should have won the Heisman will continue even though Murray took home the award on Saturday night. Both players have their groups of supporters, but it is also fair to say they are big fans of each other. After Murray won college football’s highest honor, Tagovailoa congratulated the Oklahoma star with a very personal gift: an authentic Hawaiian floral lei.Tua’s younger brother Taulia presented Murray with the lei after the ceremony.“They are all about family and they make sure everybody else is good,” Murray told AL.com. “I enjoyed being around their family for the past two days and they’ve been nothing but supportive of me. So, I’m very appreciative of them.”Murray thanked Tagovailoa for the gesture on Twitter last night.Respect brother. @Tuaamann pic.twitter.com/alEG5kTPaK— Kyler Murray (@TheKylerMurray) December 10, 2018This is definitely an awesome move from Tagovailoa. It shows the high level of mutual respect between the two competitors. The next time these two see each other, it will be in the Orange Bowl, where Alabama and Oklahoma will battle for a spot in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.
